DISTRIBUTION

The Zambia Medicines and Medical Supplies Agency (ZAMMSA) is responsible for the distribution of medicines and medical supplies to government facilities across Zambia. As part of its mandate, ZAMMSA ensures that essential drugs and medical supplies are available and accessible to all health facilities in the country. Here are some key aspects of the ZAMMSA distribution process:
The agency has a fleet of vehicles and partnerships with logistics providers to transport medicines and supplies to health facilities. Efficient transportation logistics are crucial for timely delivery, especially to remote and rural areas. The Agency distributes medicines and medical supplies from the central warehouse in Lusaka to the seven hubs across the country which will then distribute to the designated health facilities to reach the Zambian people. Through this distribution process, ZAMMSA adheres to strict quality assurance protocols to ensure that all distributed medicines and supplies meet safety and efficacy standards. This includes regular inspections and compliance with regulatory requirements. In the distribution process, ZAMMSA collaborates with various stakeholders, to enhance the distribution process. These partnerships help address challenges and improve service delivery.
